While in the past people "fought" not to become a King, now people "fight" to become a King. History witnesses how Shri Rama "quarreled" with his younger brother, Bharata to avoid the throne of King Ayodhya. Now people may use Shri Rama's advice to Bharata called "Asta brata" only to fight for the leadership position of the neighbourhood, district, or of a small association. All beautiful and noble political advice and teachings such as Asta Brata, Catur Naya Sandhi, Pañca Upaya Sandhi, etc. were all studied and used with all their might just to reach power, for the sake of trivial power. Nowadays, the leaders (the King, the Head of State) rarely "go through" the discipline of wise leadership at an early age and eventually lose their charisma and authority. Instead, they will replace charisma and authority with money and oration skill to become a leader or a King. If that also doesn’t work, the final option for them is to take advantage of the off chances. Those who are taking advantage of this opportunity will appear to be leaders and praised by the society, and they will become heroes without good deeds, or by "marginalizing" those who have worked hard and have largely contributed. Historical events in various countries can be a cautionary tale of this unhealthy tendency. Nowadays, people are very easy to be deceived by promises and issue diversion. People can be a "hero" in a day, but also can be "kicked out" in a day. If in the past the leader came to power because of "taksu" or charisma, now in the Kali Yuga era the leaders would apply the "sanghe shakti kali yuge" technique, that they would form a coalition, with various "MoUs" without stamp duty. And ..., that too can be "forgotten" (don't read: violated) any time, or anytime "there is a gap" of promise. (05)
